Bed Leveling Wizard

Step-by-step guided leveling. Use this on your phone, next to your printer.

Setup

Before you start: Preheat your bed to printing temperature (typically 60C for PLA, 80C for PETG). Thermal expansion changes the level. Disable any ABL/mesh probe so it does not compensate during the test.

Front-left corner

Move your nozzle to this position. Slide a piece of paper between the nozzle and bed. You should feel slight resistance when pulling, but the paper should still move.

Bed leveled

Completed in 1 pass. All points reading "just right".

First layer reference

After leveling, print a single-layer test square. Compare your result:

Too far (nozzle high)
Lines don't stick. Spaghetti or curling. Round cross-section, gaps between lines.
Perfect
Smooth, flat surface. Lines fused together with no gaps. Slightly transparent when thin.
Too close (nozzle low)
Filament squished thin or transparent. Ridges between lines. Hard to remove from bed.
